Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, August 11, 2013

What's up my NSR homies! This is Alex with the report. The surf was tiny today compared to the swell that usually pumps during this season. That said, I had a lot of fun in the water this morning. The water was a transparent aqua blue, there were light offshore winds, and peaky waist high waves. Very playful conditions. Check out all the fun!

Some of the waves lined up very well and offered multiple top turns. Check out the sweet open face this guy found!

There were some moments today when the lineup was packed out. Some of the peaks I was surfing were very friendly; everybody was sharing waves and getting stoked! However, there were some etiquette violations too. Let's do our best to create a nice environment in the water and enjoy all that mother nature has provided.

Another example of how there are plenty of waves to go around.

If you are looking for something else to mix up your time then you might want to jump on the Hacienda Iguana golf course and play a round. The golf course staff are taking a break here to practice their chops on the course. The price is right, just $30 for the green fee, club and cart rental. What a deal!

Small, yet rippable. No matter the size, this wave remains hollow and will provide the power to make turns like this.

There were many attempts made to defy gravity today, and most of them ended like this. Some rippers did land a few however.

Some waves remained beautiful and untouched. This left looks pretty inviting...

A great beach day for everyone!

Here are some local kids who were playing around with some little foam boards in the surf, soaking up the sun and magnificent water. They probably got a handful of barrels.

Speaking of barrels, there is no shortage this time of year. Even on the smallest days someone is getting a sweet view!

Planning a trip to surf Nicaragua? We have many rental boards in the shop to choose from, including SUPs. You can also go to our website and reserve a board for your stay! Surfboard discounts offered for those who rent NSR vacation rentals.
