Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 10, 2009

Hi and thanks for joining us for the Monday surf report.  This is Lucha Libre Garcia bringing you all the action from one of the most popular beaches down south of Nicaragua.  The waves were small today but there were still a couple of fun ones coming through.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets with perfect offshore winds and the water was nice.  Check out the lineup!!!

The lineup was not crowded at all because the jellyfishes were out doing their thing, keeping the crowd out of the water.  Here we have an unknown rider taking the only wave he caught today right before the jellyfishes caught him very bad.  Hey buddy, at least you got a cool photo!!!

The locals were not worried about the jellyfishes and they paddled out to score some fun ones.  This is Gerardito about to throw the lip of the back.

Now we have “El Tuzo” Morales with a small but cool floater on this right.  That’s the best way to stay out of the water and avoid the jellyfishes.

A few guys took the longboard out and were taking advantage in the lineup.  Here I got a killer shot of Eduardo “La Belleza” picking up one of the better set waves of the day.

The Chicks didn’t even want to go out for a swim- they decided to stay out of the water and get a little bit of sun.  Watch out girls, you still can get stunk by jellyfishes on your ankles.  I am just kidding!!!

The waves were rally inconsistent today but when a set came through there some long ones to be had.  The swell is supposed to pick up a little bit tomorrow so hopefully we can score some bigger waves.

On the last shot of the day we have Manuel “La Bellota” Cascante with a nice snap on this left.  That’s all for today folks, please stay tuned with us.
