Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, August 09, 2022

Brian Scott

Happy Tuesday everybody! Waves dipped a little more, at least for the beachie, so me and a few friends decided to head up the road to the reef where it was fun good size and long rights and lefts from the take off spot way out the back.

Just to give a little perspective for todays waves. . . . here’s looking back at the super pequeño beach break. Oooooof, and it looks like the skies were a bit gloomy and grey down that way too.

But not up here at PD’s! Nemo all lit up (just like yesterday - two for two) back to back beautiful sunny days with that magical morning sunlight.

Nemo making it look seeminly effortles, putting it on a rail way down the line on the inside track.

The LB was the perfect wave riding vehicle out there, unless you really rip (then there was plenty enough juice to make the long rolling waves with multiple turns), OR if you just like to cruise, the longboard setup looked really fun too!

Brian Scott

Everyone who caught the outside nugs, rode each wave all the in, even through some people haha!

Brian Scott

This guy took his wave maybe at least a couple hundred yards all the way to this inside bowling section which dumps right onto dry sand. Nice ride Dude!

Brian Scott

Here he is again, after paddling back out and taking another long one in.

The pulled back view is always majestic and scenic here. Look how green and lush the hills of the dogs is with all the rain we’ve been getting.

Brian Scott

D-man, opting or the tiny and fast n’ zippy twinny!

Pulling off wrap around and cutbacks all the way in.

Brian Scott

See I wasn’t kidding….. these waves offered up some fun super long rides all morning!

Brian Scott

Nemo taking his last one in so he could make the 9:30an Yoga class at Mark & Daves with his wifers Jess.

Brian Scott

But not before putting in his signature style three to the beach, just like back in all the NSSA days! Yeah Nemo!

Brian Scott

Nemo quietly saying (Yeah Burrito!!! - my near and dear to my heat nickname that i was given back in the day) I can hear it. Hahaha Oh man if you knew the hours him and I have put in together over the years, him surfing and me shooting. It’s WAaaaaaaay up there! This awesome little fist pump “YES” claim says it all. Nicaragua is AWESOME!!!!!

Brian Scott

Sadly today is Jess and Andrews last full day here. And that my friends is how quickly 2 weeks goes by here. But their smiles & shakas say it all, as they head off just in time for their Yoga sesh!!!! Maybe we can squeak in one last afternoon session??? But either way. . . it’s been fun!!! Thanks all for stopping by to check out todays surf report. Don’t forget we have some new swell coming in a few days. Stoked ~
