NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, August 07, 2011

What's up my peeps! NSR's comin at you deep in the season, bringing you some noma surfing action. Today is a down day for swell according to all forecasting models. You didn't see anyone complaining though as there were plenty of headhigh sets mixed in with the smaller stuff. There were a few standout sessions here today, but there were fun rippable waves all day long.  Wind was good, water in the 80's, and the waves were a lot of fun.

Taper was the magic word of the day. Despite not getting to stroke into heaving pits, we were blessed with good shape. This spot was serving up perfectly tapered peaks that made for some extremely fun surf.

Here is more of the same, right hand action this time......teleportation anyone?

Guys were head- dipping into little tubes.......

....and blasting the tops of light-lipped-lappers

...and even stalling into the occasional bigger set wave that would roll through.

From time to time we like to share amazing real estate opportunities with our audience. We have just come across one such opportunity that is too good to pass up. For Sale: two adjacent fully serviced residential lots a short 5 minute walk from this wave for just $29,000 - FOR BOTH LOTS!. For more information or to schedule a viewing send us an email at [email protected]

The waves were super fun at Playa Maderas this morning, the lineup wasn’t busy at all and there were many waves rolling in.  It was running about chest to head high on sets with nice offshore winds all day long.  Check it out!!!

This is Jeremy from Canada trying to get a little high on this section.  This wave is going to barrel for sure, as you can see.

A few locals were out there, showing us how to rip.  This is Felipe “El Pipe” Chompipe going big with this frontside aerial maneuver.

This is Milton having a good time on his mini-fish.  There were tons of fun waves in between and he was taking lots of them.

This is David racing this little nugget all the way into the beach.  Everyone out there was having a blast!

The last shot from this spot goes to this unknown buddy grabbing the rail on his backside.  Did we say that the waves were fun?

We changed locations and headed out to one of the nearby beaches around Maderas to do some surf lessons.  The conditions were great and we took advantage on that.

The NSR Surf School has taken a couple of Californian guys out for the last few days and now they are surfing on their own.  This is Sherril on a nice looking left.  That’s all for today pals, check back tomorrow!
