Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, August 06, 2009

Hi everybody, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you all the action for the Thursday surf report.  Today I had to drive up north to take some photos of a nice and funny crew.  The waves were super fun running about chest to shoulder high and some occasional head high waves on sets.  The wind was perfect offshore and the water was super nice.  Check it out.

Here we have a shot of the crew from Fl, posing for the camera to immortalize this moment for ever.  From left to right we have Brett, Keith, Ricky and Patrick.  Welcome to Nicaragua folks!!!

On the first surfing shot of the day we have Keith looking down the line, waiting for the right moment to get covered.  Hey buddy, next time you come down you gotta show me how to do those cool designs you do.

Here we have Ricky with a cool off the top on this right.  Hey buddy, I hope you keep driving that well!!!

This is Brett “El Patotas” bottom turning a nice right.  Probably everybody is thinking that he is riding a small wave, but you can not think that when the surfers is more than 6 feet tall.

On the last shot of the crew we have Patrick smacking the lip of this nice sizeable wave.  It was so nice to meeting you guys, see you guys next time.

The waves at this spot were opening up very well this morning.  Check out this guy getting shacked into this little nugget.

There were a few guys ripping all over the place.  Here we have Chris Conners from Popoyo with a killer snap.

The waves were perfect to do bodyboard and our new friend Jeff took advantage and score some fun ones.  Check him out about to get barreled on this one.

Here we have this unknown rider getting deep into one of the better set waves of the day.  Nice backside style buddy!!!

Later on, in the afternoon we drove up a little bit more to check out this spot.  The waves were definitely bigger this afternoon, what’s mean that we are already feeling the new swell.  Here we have this empty one rolling all the way in to the beach.

There were some sick rights coming through as well.  Here is this unknown rider setting up for a deep barrel.  Hey buddy, we got a sick sequence of this barrel so let us know if you want to check it out.

Hey Mike, we think this is you with the last shot of the day.  The swell is supposed to be building for the next days so be sure to stay tuned with us.
