Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, August 02, 2019

Brian Scott

Happy Friday everyone! Had a fun day out in the water swimming with the fish, a couple surfers and some breath taking sneaker sets every once in a while… come get your Friday dose in!

Brian Scott

First off, I have to say the conditions were running high with light offshore winds and super glassy water.

Brian Scott

The period and angle had the waves a little on the racey side, making the spot to be in a quest, but if you found your position and the right set came in, you could be having a really good wave of the day, like Johnny here!

Here’s how it looked at about 6:45AM.

Ya wanna know what’s even better than an empty glass cavern that looks like this….

Brian Scott

A glass cavern with Uncle Barry packed deep inside it!!!!

Brian Scott

Mikey likes it.

My boy Brian from Ecuador fulfilling his last day of surfing dreams here in Nica-land.

Brian Scott

Nothing like swimming with some of the best tube riders in Nicaragua.

Brian Scott

Carlos de Colorados is definitely at the top of the totem pole!

Brian Scott

Keep on swimming… keep on swimming… keep on swimming!!!! hahahaha

Brian Scott

Eli is my other homie from Ecuador, however I didn’t even find out until the end of the day today that he’s only been surfing for a couple years.  Ahem… Sikkkk session today buddy!!!

Brian Scott

The barrels being taken out there today were pretty sick, for sure!

Brian Scott

Low tide was the time too!

Brian Scott

Nica-Land’s pacific coast has countless breaks like this. You can explore, or you can come to this world class spot. The choice is yours.

This was when I came out for round two in the afternoon, after swimming for about 4.5 hours in the morning time. Colin Eberly proves that the saying “the surfer out there having the most fun, is the best surfer in the lineup” Well, his credentials for surfing some of the biggest waves here also help, but he’s still one heck of a happy MOFO!!!

Brian Scott

Brian and Eli and I paddle out on the super MEGA high tide around 3. We’ll just say it was pretty heavy and thumping to say the least.

Brian Scott

Glassy pretty much all day.

Brian Scott

Eli dropping from the sky and heading for the land of the dogs!

BTW, they’ve been filing Independence Day 3 here…… baahhhh…bromiando!!! J/k but what a cool looking cloud formation eh???

Ok folks, hope you enjoyed the days water shots. I’ll be back at it mañana. I’ll see ya then. Buenas noches ~
