Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, July 28, 2009

We'll get to today's report in a minute.  Right now we are going to reminisce about the last big swell.  Erin O'Kon just sent us in some killer shots from the big swell last weekend. it was going off! This is Jeff S. from Surfari Charters, showing up and blowing up on a big one!

NSR's Carlos Caliente made it out and was catching a few bomb's himself. Rumor has it that he paddled into some of these. This is another killer shot by Erin.

Classic big wave shot with the Va Pue in the foreground. Don't you wish you could have some of these?

The boys have converted from towing in to doing step-offs.  Either way, a ski is very helpful in a wave like this.  NSR would like to give a big shout out to Erin and the boys at Surfari Charters for sending in these images.  I heard Capt. Moss is in the process of editing up the footage to make a killer video of this stuff too.  We'll post it up as soon as it's ready so check back often.  Roberto will be back later with some super fun waves we got today.

Welcome everyone to the Tuesday surf report.  This is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you all the action from one of the most popular beaches down here in Nicaragua.  The waves were super fun, running about chest to head high on sets with perfect offshore wind.  Check out the lineup!!!

The lineup was not crowded at all today.  There were only about 6 or 7 guys and a couple of other beginners in the inside trying to get some waves.  This is Hace Quezos picking up a nice sizeable wave in her first day out on a short board.  We hope to see you out there more often on that kind of board.

We want to give a special shout out to Randy “El Bambino” for his birthday.  Check him out going off the top of this nice looking left.  Happy birthday buddy!!!

A few beginners were getting in troubles in the inside part of the beach.  Luckily no one got hurt from this accident.  Please, you guys be carful out there!!!

Our very own Pancho Sanchez was ripping it up all morning long.  He was catching plenty of fun waves himself.  Here he is with a killer turn.

Chewy was trying to bust some aerials.  Maybe, Mateo “Guineo” can give you some tips my friend.  So, next time you can land it and we can post a sequence.

“La Cenicienta” Blaylock was showing a little bit of her new skills on her brand new board.  She was making a few turns.  Get it Chica Brava, get it!!!

Alright folks, the waves should be fun tomorrow so be sure to check back with us.
