Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, July 28, 2008

Hi folks, this is Lucha Libre bringing you the action from Maderas.  Today I headed out to the beach with a couple of local friends and we had a good time out there.  It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets, with off shore wind and perfect warm water.

The lineup wasn’t too crowded, so it was pretty fun to ride long waves all the way in to the beach, but the locals decided to rip on a couple waves.  Here we have Gabriel “Chancho con Yuca” Villaran with a sweet spray.

The conditions were perfect to take the long board out and some guys did it.  Here is this guy from North Caroline with a cool vertical snap on the big panga.

Meanwhile everybody was having fun out there “Come Pan” Panic decided to test out his new bathing suit.  He definitely wants s to be a model in the future.

Here is caught  Jorge “El Chispero” Dominguez who has been suring for almost seven months and he’s already ripping.  Can you guys bilieve it?

Augusto “La Gaviota’ Chamorro paddled out as well and was doing his thing as always.  Here is a shot of him with a sweet floater.

This is Tito “El Bambino” Chamorro who hasn’t been surfing for a while because he’s working hard awaiting for his baby.  Anyway, he’s out of shape right now but he was able to catch a couple of fun ones.  Here he is setting up to do his signing move “shack”.

There were a couple of cutes girl charging at the lineup today.  This is Carmen taking off on one of the better waves of the day.

Today we had two chavalos who took lessons with the NSR Surf School. Our students were Sam and Connors from Washington DC. Here they are posing for the camera with the best surf instructor in the world Oliver “El Monito” Solis.

These guys learned pretty well and were having so much fun out there.  Here comes Connors riding a nice one.

How about Sam W, who actually saw a couple of Oliver’s photos and was kind of excited to ride some bigger waves like Oliver.

On the last photo of the day we have “La Bestia” Calderon with a killer maneuver.  The swell is supposed to pick up tomorrow, so stay tuned with us.
