Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, July 26, 2017

Hello everybody and welcome to the surf report for southern Nicaragua! This is Parker logging on with some fun morning shots. Yes, the swell is down, but still check it out for some goodies!

Yes, the swell is down for sure. To be honest, this is about as flat as it gets for us. However, the fun factor is still high!

To capitalize on the smaller surf, I linked up with the Preysz family. Ethan (pictured here) and Curren are just getting the hang of it in the water so it was a perfect morning for them!

Ethan, you did well out there bro! Nice job deciding which waves to take and paddling into the critical part. But I still think it’s a smart idea to return Nick Saban’s call instead signing up for the QS.

Kelly Slater on the other hand, I mean Curren, was gobbling up a ton of waves. Just getting the hang of it or already looking for that barrel?!?

Curren won’t say anything but I think he has a lot of girlfriends back home. What kind of high school girls don’t like a skater/surfer who is a solid young man? Ohh and let me add he is Hacienda Iguana’s #1 volleyball server too…

Did you see Curren’s style hunting for that tubito? Curren and Ethan have a great man to look up to: Louie. Louie always makes time for his boys, always is stoked to hang with them, and leads by example personally, professionally, and spiritually. Good on ya Louie and all the good dads out there!!

In other ways, the apple (Curren) didn’t fall far from the tree (Louie)!!! Truth be told, I actually haven’t seen any good wipeouts from Louie in the two years I’ve known him…

Continuing the dad theme, Gary and Garycito were enjoying breakfast at Pili’s Kitchen. How would you like to eat a delicious American breakfast and smoothie while checking the surf?! Soon, Garycito will be all about the surf but for right now he’s enjoying those birthday pancakes.

With the small size and well groomed sandbars, plenty of peaks were “working.” Everybody was catching waves and enjoying the mañana.

Barry will explain why… Keep scrolling down.

Fins first and now reengaging. You gotta keep it fun when the waves are flat!!

Barry spun around so fast that my camera couldn’t focus!! Alright Juan Springfield, you’re up next bro.

Maycol was also having some fun “switching” things up too.

Forecast wise, hang tight for a couple more days. We are seeing solid numbers for the swell coming this week into early next week. Make sure you get surfed out (again) because it’ll be mellow for another week after that swell.

Curren is already thinking about how he is going to get tubed next swell!!

La Flora gave Sophie (pictured here) a lesson yesterday so she was amped to get after it this morning. Outside of the water, Sophie is the manager at Sidebar- the new bar at Scoops and Spokes in Downtown Iguana. Follow them on Instagram to see when the next fiesta is!

I think I know which pretty lady Maycol will be taking to the next Sidebar party. Dale Fuerte!!!

I want to wrap up the report so I can go visit some properties and take care of our guests but Curren has so many photos to chose from that it’s hard to end it!! Let’s hop on a boat soon bro!

Here’s a little tiny Colorado tubito to end on. If only it was like quadruple the size. Ok guys, congrats on making it halfway through the week and have a good back 9! Thanks for checking in and stay tuned through the weekend. Parker is out!
