Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, July 25, 2009

Hi everybody, we’ve got the NSR family bringing you the Saturday surf report. Today we decided to make a triathlon around, chasing some new waves.  The swell was still holding some size and all kinds of places were still breaking today.  Check out what we found!

Check out this spot.  We paddled out to surf it and Jairo found a big hill to climb so he could take photos.  It was a far paddle, but it was worth it...until the jellyfish started attacking us!

After the 1/2 mile paddle, we were rewarded with some unreal waves.  This is one of the set waves coming in.  Check out how square that barrel is.  That's DLite and Chewy on the shoulder getting eaten alive by jellyfish.

This is Pancho, locking into a sick one.  It's really hard to line up on this wave when you are so far out to sea but when you do it right, you get SHACKED!  The boys surfed this as long as they could handle the jellys but had to call it quits early.  It's a shame because the conditions remained perfect for a while afterwards.

Today was all about adventure so we all hiked over to the next cove looking for another wave to surf and hoping the Jelly's didn't get in to the line-up yet.

When we got around the corner, this is what we saw!  It wasn't a perfect wave, but it was big and had long walls.

Here is a cool perspective of D-lite dropping into a closeout wave. Check out the lip of that thing!!!

Here we have Pancho Sanchez about to feel the power of the washer machine. We assume he is very clean now!!!

On the last surfing shot of the day we have Rutledge riding a nice right. We all hope you are having a good time down here, surfing many good waves.

This guy is the only witness that can tell where we were on this long crossing.  All we can say is “WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND WE GOT DESTROYED BY JELLYFISH”.  We've got plenty more waves on tap for this week so please check back tomorrow.
