Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, July 19, 2007

Hey folks, Lucha will be putting up the report later today but before we get to that I wanted to make everyone aware of a KILLER piece of property we just listed. It's 5 acres, including your very own hilltop, located in the heart of the surf zone. Power will be run to one corner and there is plenty of space to put in a well for water. There are INSANE ocean views from over half of this property. 1/4 acre lots in this area are going for $30k - $40k. This is the perfect piece of land for a group of people who want their own zone together or it would be great for a hotel/spa/rest. Land of this size, price and location does not come available that often. If you'd like more info, send us an email to: [email protected]

Welcome everyone to the surf report for today, it's still small and the wind is offshore. It's running about waist high on sets but it doesn't matter to much now because we have a big party in town today. Everybody is getting drunk and enjoying the day, we are celebrating the revolution and we have some interesting activities for today. First here is the lineup at Maderas.

Here is Juan "La Gargola" taking a nice little left. Juan drank 3 beers before he paddled out today and he was falling all over the place.

Today we had many surfers out there in the water as you could see on the first shot but we had more people on the beach getting drunk with the locals and then they all went to the big revolution party.

Here is the deal - they hang a duck upside down from a rope, then they ride by on horses and try to rip the head off the duck. The winner is the first person to do this. Check it out.

This is Ervin sponsored by NSR as one of the 12 participants. After 4 times trying (did I mention that the take all the feathers off the duck's head and cover it in grease?) Ervin succeeded and was crowned the winner. Another victory for NSR! Check back tomorrow.
