Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Javier Baldovinos

Hello NSR fans, this is Baldo with Wednesday’s Surf Report from the beautiful beaches of Nicaragua.

In the meantime though, we work with what we have… the waves might be small but the have a great shape.

Javier Baldovinos

Waves are small but everyone is getting excited here because in a couple of days this same place will have barrels after barrels breaking perfectly.

Javier Baldovinos

Lefts or rights, it’s your call, especially because there are no crowds so it’s pretty much up to you.

Javier Baldovinos

And talking about crowds… look at the reef, packed with local fishermen fishing with their handlines. Do you know that NSR offers Handline Fishing with a local? You get the handline as a souvenir!

Javier Baldovinos

This wave doesn’t look that small though, right?

Javier Baldovinos

Sadly, most of the waves looked more like this one.

Javier Baldovinos

Once I looked better I realized that the waves were exactly the same size as earlier.

In the afternoon I went again for more photos, this time I checked Colorado, which my first impression was that it was better than Santana in the morning.

Javier Baldovinos

There was a little bit more crowd here but plenty of space free to find your own place.

Javier Baldovinos

The difference with Santana is that here the waves have a little more push.

Javier Baldovinos

You can get more speed which allows you to aim higher.

Javier Baldovinos

Another thing good about Colorado is that there are always spectators.

Javier Baldovinos

Including sneaky photographers everywhere capturing the surf and the beach life. Looks like tomorrow stays the same but the weekend will be good, stay tune!
