Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, July 17, 2010

First at all we want you to know that we are starting to bring down Stand Up Paddle Boards.  To all that people who likes to ride these giant and sick boards, they are now available to purchase through NSR.  Here is Pancho posing for the camera with the first order we got this year down here.  Don't you wish to a have sick SUP board like this one?  This is your chance to get it, we have different sizes and color.  Don't miss you chance!!!

Today we headed out to the beach in the morning, hoping to score some fun waves and snap a couple shots for the first competition day of the OPEN PRO SURF CONTEST.  Unfortunately the wind was on, so that made the waves very choppy and really tough to ride them.  Check it out!!!

Bunch of locals showed out to the beach to have some action in the contest.  Riding bikes or even catching a ride with some of the guys driving to the beach.  I heard a few guys were walking!

I wasn’t able to stay over the contest but I still snapped a few shots right before the contest was on.  On the first action shot of the day we have Sean “La Brujita Voladora” Pearson with a huge hack on this mushy one.  How the hell he did that on that wave!!!

A few international surfers made it out to the lineup and picked up a few ones.  Here is caught Clancy dropping into one of the best looking waves of the day.  He’s also going to compete in the contest.

Coki finally showed out to the beach, thinking about getting into the competition but the waves kept him out of the water.  Here he is thinking about what to do before the contest get started.

This is Jackson from Gigante, can you guys believe it?  He made it all the way down to be here and put his name on the list.  It is nice to see that many more kids are getting involved on this kind of events.

Right before I was getting ready to leave, “La Bestia” showed out with a couple of new friends.  Still kinda interesting shot, from the mule reflector.

There wouldn’t be a good contest without this guy in the lineup.   He always wants to be in the podium on every contest.  We are going to bring a couple other shots from the contest tomorrow.  Check back with us!
