Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, July 12, 2009

Hi and thanks for joining us for the Sunday surf report. This is Lucha Libre bringing you all the action from the NSR Beach House where I'll be shooting photos all week long. The waves have dropped a little in size but are still super fun and running about chest to shoulder high with slightly bigger sets coming in.  The winds are offshore and the water is really nice and warm. Check forward to see what we got for you guys today.

Our favorite crew from Virginia Beach just got here last night - they are so stoked to be down here one more time and it looks like we'll have a really fun swell for their whole trip.  They always hire me to take photos so I'm stoked too!  This is Bob “El Cebollas” with a late take off on this right.  Can you think why we call him "the Onion"?

There were not many lefts to be riding but our really good friend Chuck “El Presidente” sat in the right spot and caught a few of the better ones. Check him out drifting this one all the way in to the beach.  You are fast and furious my friend.

Here we have Allen “The Beez” setting up for a great bottom turn.  These guys had plenty f fun waves all day long.

Check out Rick “El Juez” racing down the line on this left hander.  He’s a big guy and is hoping to ride some bigger waves later this week and I hope so as well.

Our very good friend Jeff “Sitos” Picked out one of the bigger set waves of the day. Here he is working on his take off style and charging on the set wave of the day!  This crew rented 8 of our brand new surftech boards and is really stoked to try them all out on some good waves!

Randy “El Revolution” wasn’t worried about the waves- he just wanted to get some Flor de Cana shots. This photo is from 8:30 am.  Salud amigo!!!

Ed “Eduardo” Powers was killing it on the big panga today.  Here he is about to get shack right in front of the camera.  Hey Bob, I bet that one came out good!!!

We want to give a special shout out to Don “La Garza” Clarke.  He just joined to the crew in this trip and he is already scoring many fun waves.

There is always a cute lady on the beach, but it is a shame because she is already married.

That’s all for today folks, please check back tomorrow.

Here is our buddy Allen CRUSHING the snook with a speargun!  Are you kidding me!  The big one is a 31 pounder!!!!  Thanks for the pix Alan - please drop off a filet!

Here is Alan again with huge barracudas!  If you think these fish are big, you should see the size of their teeth.  Dude, great job, you gotta give me some lessons!
