Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, July 08, 2008

Hi guys this is Jairo “Come Pan”, Roberto “Lucha Libre”, and Mateo “Pledge” welcoming to you the Tuesday surf report from Maderas beach.  This morning the waves were almost the same as yesterday.  The waves were running about chest to shoulder high on sets, with offshore wind, and overcast skies. Check it out.

The only difference between today and yesterday was yesterday we had a lot of people at the beach surfing and tanning, but today there was hardly anyone in the water.  Here we have “Pledge”, on a nice right, taking advantage of the uncrowded conditions.

Because the waves did not have that much power, it was a perfect day to take your long board or your fish.  This is an unknown rider enjoying the smooth feeling of his fish.

As we said before the waves were soft, so there were a lot of long boarders taking a bunch of fun waves. Here is one of them, Caleb, about to experience the feeling of a big board under his feet while he sets up for this next section.

The waves were not that big, but we still had some interesting wipeouts.  Here we have Jackie Chancho bringing karate class into the water today.

Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro did not learn any karate today, but he learned how to bottom turn fast enough to pull into this barrel. It was the only barrel we saw today and Augusto got it. We need to see you pull off some stuff like this in the contest this weekend.

This last shot of the day we a Gringa taking a nice right. She said that she was stoked to be down here in Nicaragua where the waves are consistently fun like this, so she could improve her surfing skills. Alright the waves look like they are staying the same for tomorrow so check back. Nsr out!
