Happy 4th of July everybody.  This is Pancho here with your Sunday Surf Report.  After our recent run of killer waves and big barrels, we find ourselves in another unfortunate, onshore weather pattern.  The swell is actually pumping right now, way overhead on sets, but the wind is junking it all up.  If you know where to go, it's still kind of fun in the mornings before the winds pick up.  As usual, these kind of conditions make it fun to hang out in SJDS and surf the schwag in the bay.  Check it out!

Speaking of schwaggy conditions, here is one of the few surfers we found in the water this afternoon.  It seemed like everyone was gearing up for the big festivities tonight.  (yes, we celebrate the 4th down here)

Skimboarding has arrived here in SJDS and there are a couple of kids getting pretty good at it.  Whenever I try this, I end up on my ass.

We imagine we are going to start seeing more and more SUP's in the bay.  This is actually a great place to cruise the coast and get some excercise.  NSR is about to receive our new shipment of SUP's for rent.  If you want to give this sport a try, let us know!

Here's a scenic shot from the bayfront in SJDS.  I didn't surf today but trust me, it gets pretty fun out there if you keep an open mind.

Here at NSR, we work with our local photographers and help teach them English.  Doing the daily surf report in a second language is no easy task.  Miguel originally did today's report and ended up changing a lot of it.  We'll go over it in the morning so he'll learn from it.  His last comment was too funny to erase so I'm going to leave it up.  Please don't take offense to it - it's just a language barrier thing.  I'm still cracking up..."On the last shot of the day we have this photo. The States Unidos  have bit party today because today is Indecency day of the US, congratulation all people of the States Unidos and we hope that you have Happy Indecency day.  Alright folks this is all for today.  We hope to have some better waves tomorrow.  Please check back with us!"

On a different note, we wanted to let everyone know that NSR is now renting the BEST house in Rancho Santana - Cinco Banditos.  This is a new home that has 5 master bedrooms, a pool, a ping-pong table, epic furnishings, automatic back-up system that even runs the AC, flat screen tv, staff for cooking and cleaning, etc.  It sleeps up to 9 people and starts at only $250/night.  If all those things don't blow you away, the view will - this place is NICE.
