Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, July 03, 2019

Good afternoon everybody! This is Parker welcoming y’all to the pumping Wednesday surf report. Get comfy in your chair and enjoy the shots.

As soon as I got to the beach, this is what welcomed me. The tide was dropping so we knew it would be on!

Do you see the grey fuzzy horizon? A little rain storm came through. No worries, it just went from glassy to buttery smooth!

Still following the same wave… Why? Because Nigel is still driving through that thing!

What should we attribute this smooth exit to? He’s childhood in the south coast of Aus, living in Puerto, or that fast twin fin he surfs? Or let’s chalk it up to talent because you’re going to see a lot more of this hombre during the report.

To bring y’all up to speed, we have two swells in the water and we love it! The more predominant south directioned swell lit up the southern peak. Occasionally, the more westerly swell sent some bombs up north. Any takers on this meaty one?

I mean, we do love the rights that it produces…

Let’s shift back to the shifty southern peak. Is this Nige again on this bomb? I think so.

The best advice we can give you is to know where you’re taking off in relation to the line. See how this thing is running? Usually somebody takes off deep, drives drives drives (but it’s tough to connect), and somebody else shoulder hops to enjoy the last part of the untouched wave.

But, this one slowed up at the end! That looks just about perfect to me…

This was wave number 3 of that set. Pumping!!!!

Let’s shift gears and check out the river rights. In this shot, we have Mike from Rio Dulce V13 locked into this bomb. His crew took a quick flight over from Miami and they are enjoying the fruits of their trip.

Mike, next wave that comes between us is yours man. As ordinary citizens, we are grateful for the emergency response services and we appreciate all that y’all do behind the scenes. Hopefully we can get you behind the scenes (curtain) in a couple more waves out front!

One more river right to show you how beautiful they are. Great shape, fast, hollow, and plenty of tube time. Must I say more?

On the other side of the peak, Carl was locking in to the lefts. An apple a day he says…

While we have y’all drooling over the waves, come to our 4th of July sale tomorrow! On our patio, we will have items 60% off (yes, SIXTY). If you’re like me and a special somebody has a birthday in two weeks, cruise by our shop. If you’re also like me, we are serving first come first served free cold Tonas and homemade cookies sooooo yeah you should come by. See you tomorrow in Downtown Iguana!

Man, the morning sesh was great! Tons of waves, the crowd factor was a light, and the best part is the other side of the tide was waiting after breakfast.

Speaking of the other side of the tide, it started filling back up up. We thought it was a good idea to keep the camera handy for some of action on the incoming. Hopefully y’all appreciate that :)

Some big south lefts but also some gems on the northern peak. What’s not to love about two swells in the water?! Different peaks, styles of waves, and spread the people out.

Anytime Kai DeLo is in the water, that’s a sign that you should be too. After spending years of his childhood visiting here, he has this wave dialed. Don’t you agree?

Clean exit and a suspenseful bottom turn…

Fueled by Pili’s smoothies, he cracked a man carve right on the lip. Kai, good stuff today and so stoked to see you get some many good waves man!!

I can’t leave you on a left can I??? Haha ok y’all, it was a great day of surf today and we should have some more fun waves tomorrow. I guess you’ll have to tune in and find out for yourself, huh? Hasta mañana amigos!
