Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, June 28, 2008

Hi everyone, welcome to the Saturday surf report, this is “Lucha Libre” and “Pledge”. It was a carbon copy of yesterday with waves shoulder to head high with offshore wind. There wasn’t too many people at the beach today due to overcast conditions or maybe a lot of people were fighting the hangovers from last night. Check out what we got!

Ricardo “El Kelly” Slater was out there again taking off on some of the best set waves. We hope you saved enough energy to cook us dinner tonight because we are really hungry and we would love to have some lasagna at Mattarello.

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was one of the many locals who paddled out there today.  Here he is about to pull off a stylish backside floater.

Angelo “La Rosita” Ramos was caught here hitting the lip on a pretty good size wave. He’s still in the juniors division but he loves it when the waves get big.

“La Bestia” Calderon was out there surfing really well showing everybody why he won the last contest at Santana in the juniors division and got second in the open national.  Here he is doing his signature move.

Edwin “El Tuzo” Morales was out there getting a bunch of good waves. Here he is on a nice looking right about to set up for a barrel.

This is “La Gaviota” Chamorro with a nice backside snap. Again he was definitely the most unrivaled surfer out there.  The swell is increasing tomorrow, so it should be really fun and we should get a bunch of good pictures. Lucha and Pledge out.
