Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Hello everybody and welcome to the smorgasbord report with NSR! This is Parker logging in late to show you around today's spots. Keep scrolling down to see some great waves!

Last night, a solid SW swell filled in so we anxiously checked the surf. Instead of a barrel fest in our backyard, we found thick long walls. No worries, our area is rich with waves and reefs!

Some other nearby spots were holding the long period swell. Nicaragua predominately offers lefts so you need to get the rights while you can!!

Not a soul was surfing at our homebase so we ventured north to see what was going on. How would you like to roll up to these prestine lines groomed by the offshores?!!?

Check out that water color. We received a healthy dumping of rain last night so the adjacent river broke open. Yes, the NSR meal plan includes hollow chocolate barrels in your daily breakfast smoothie!

How about the proper peak?? Some friends also checked this spot and said nobody was surfing before I arrived... Come on guys!!!! Are the roads that bad from the rain? Help me make my job easier so I get good photos (so I can surf after)!

You don't have to tell me twice... Look at all the lines marching in after this screamer.

After checking a few spots, we went to a slab far away. We found some more empty bombs here too.

NSR and Surfari Charters tag team session... This is what we live (and lose a lot of sleep) for!

Trin is only in town for a short time so he was frothing to get some of the action. How can you not drool looking into that beast???

Other waves were slightly less photogenic and even more rude. It was still beautiful to watch wave after wave from the panga.

Have you seen the short term forecast for southern Nicaragua? We are stoked to have more days of riding beasts in our future. If you want to strike mission it, now might be a great time...

We love surfing with Surfari Charters. Besides being fun guys and rippers, they take care of water safety. If mom and dad ask, yes you are being safe out there with gear and a ski to pull you out. Thank you Surfari for all the effort y'all contribute to days like today!! Bring an extra snack bag tomorrow too...

Ok damas and caballeros, we had an epic long day so it's time for us to get some dinner. Thank you guys for checking out the report and be sure to stay tuned tomorrow! If you're playing in the ocean, please be safe, watch out for rip tides, and be careful surfing. Hasta en la manana primos!!
