Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, June 16, 2006

Here is the view right out the front door of the NSR Beach House...need we say more. The waves were super fun again today. The swell started out small and built throughout the day, interrupted only by a rainstorm. At the end of the day we had some solid overhead sets coming in. We've got a bunch of Photos to post today so here we go...

The Oneill chicks came over for a while and were tearing it up again. This is Melanie flexing the frontside.

This is Sage, the grom of the group. She's only 15 and she's already hanging with the big girls.

This older guy caught what would have been one of the sickest waves of the day. This is like DLite's barrel from a couple weeks back. Look at this thing.

We don't know this guy, but took a picture of him by accident and it turned out pretty nice.

Meanwhile, up the coast at Maderas, Roberto was doing his thing. Nice touch with the black and white Roberto.

The waves definitely started to pick up by the afternoon. Ashley wasn't afraid to go for the set waves.

Gerardo is pushing into mid season form in preparation of next months contest in CR.

This guys name is Corage and that's exactly what it takes to put yourself in this position on a wave.

This is La Panga, stretching out after a big lunch.

Thanks for the remote report Roberto. More waves on tap for the next several days so check back!
