Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, June 14, 2021

Brian Scott

Howdy everyone and welcome back for the Monday surf report. Well, I am here to report that today was a complete onshore and backwards windy lay day. Not uncommon though as we’ve seen this similar pattern in the years past, matter a fact we’ve got to be feeling pretty lucky with how much really good surf we’ve been scoring between April and now.

Brian Scott

Not all days are glorious and completely epic surf days. But the scenery never ceases to impress.

Brian Scott

With it looking like this, I didn’t expect to find anyone out at all surfing today.

Brian Scott

But behold to my surprise, I managed to see one lone die hard out.

Brian Scott

And after seeing this was going to be his only and last wave, I knew it was gonna be a good old rely on the “trip down memory lane" kind of days.

Brian Scott

So on this same day exactly one year ago…. yeah, the year that threw this place into a time machine and sent us all back 10-15 years crowd-wise. John was still getting shacked, minus the 25+ surfers that have been here in the new year of 2021.

Brian Scott

Back when the back worked. Awwwe my man Derek, if you’re a surfer and have an ailing body injury that keeps you out of the water, you can 100% feel his every bit of pain from what keeps him out of the water and its been for over a month maybe going on two now. Poor guy! Heal up soon amigo!!!

Brian Scott

Carl looking deep into the future, like he is in this deep tube before last year and with his keen Yoda like sense, he some how knew the real estate market was going to be a gold mine. As if getting this place all to yourself again like it was 1999, selling properties like hotcakes was just the cherry on top!

Brian Scott

Hahaaaaaa Man, if this isn’t a blast from the past and I’m sure Pancho is looking at this right now and tripping out with how quickly time flies by and how little or how big rather his niñitas are now.

Brian Scott

So many changes in the world (not-one person) would even have a clue what the future held, from the day this photo was taken.

Brian Scott

Here’s some more proof! June 14th 2018. The day Carl wrote up the report informing all of you amazingly awesome NSR followers that this day there would be “No Report” the first time in the history of NSR where the day was taken off to recognize the Civic Alliance & support for the Nicaraguan people who were desperately going through one of their most challenging times in decades.

Brian Scott

But as we all know…. LOVE conquers all. So not only did I see A LOT of love and compassion whilst perusing the long and deep historical archives of the NSR search engine, but this place really has it’s own unique and bountiful beauty to it.

Brian Scott

So with all that said…. I apologize for the lack of god surf shots for todays surf report that you all count on every day, but hey, like they say, everything in moderation. Just live life like you were skipping down the beach holding hands and everything will be just fine! Diacachimba hermanos y hermanas ~
