NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, June 13, 2006

This is the updated report for today. We are just back from a few days at the NSR beach house and the waves have been pumping. Overhead sets, offshore and firing all day long. The O'neill Women's surf team was in the house and they were ripping!

We had water photog's from Transworld and videographers from Fuel TV. We're guessing there was some good content from today. Check out Kyla, working the cameras.

Seriously, these chicks were ripping. This is Melanie from HI, a standout among all (including the guys).

Well, I guess there was one way to shut Melanie down. Steve Snidder, flexing his seniority on the shoulder.

The scene on the beach wasn't too bad either. There were lot's more photo opportunities lost, but we had to log some water time too. (Plus, I'm sure we'll see some of this stuff published one day soon) Hey ladies, it was great to hang with you. You are welcome back anytime for a repeat.

Of course, the usually suspects were out in force too. This is Lance, pigging his way into another backside barrel. Check out the foot and knee placement on the far inside rail. Very technical Mr. Moss.

JJ was out being JJ - just toying with these waves. Should I do a layback or smile at the camera?

Breaking news - We've got a rising star down here in Nicaragua and his name is Brodie. Forget the fact that he's from Florida's Panhandle, this kid flat out rips. Sponsors take notice - when this guy catches a wave, everbody stops to watch. He's got it. Remember, you saw him first on NSR.

We've still got some St. Auggy in the house. This is Black Bart, showing he's still got it. Shot 1.

Black Bart - is that a claim? Man, it's fun to stay at the NSR Beach House.

Still representing St. Auggy - Ashley (also known as Mr.) was catching some nice ones too.

Also representing St. Auggy - young Jack was preparing for his upcoming trip to Tavarua.

OK, lots of pics for today. Good vibes, good waves, good people, good surfing. It was truly one of those magical days out here at the NSR Beach House. Many of us surfed 8 hours or more. We part with a final shot of Jantana on the last day of his trip. 50 years old and charging hard. Love to see it.

Finally, We've got light offshore wind this morning. It's overhead on sets and all the locals were out there at Maderas. Check it out.

This is Juanito getting back in the water. Welcome back my friend.

Here is Gerardo getting his first barrel of the day, after almost a week with onshore wind.

Meanwhile Gerardo was getting barrel, Luis was doing his thing flying all over the place. Did I say flying?

And I was doing my thing too.

Augusto with a nice floater.

Machete pt.

This is Coki taking a nice right.

Gerardo was ripping too.

Here is Yuri SALBATRUCHA going off the top.

Is that Michael Jackson walking on the water?

Check back tomorrow.
