Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, June 11, 2020

Welcome back to the daily surf report from this slice of heaven that is Nicaragua. The waves have been great and the people are starting to get out of the house and do some traveling again so we're getting some fresh faces on the beach here. Come jump in and scope out some of today's highlights.

Here are a couple of those fresh faces I was talking about, Regi and Mani are enjoying the dog walk on the beach while the waves are pumping behind them.

Did I mention we had some pumping waves today, check out Jeff on a nice little set wave. I think he was telling me that he broke his other board earlier so he was riding a different board today but looks like the new board is doing just fine.

Speaking of broken boards here is a shot of me and Jenna from earlier today, we both had to pay our dues to this beautiful beach break barrelling wave we call home. Great shot from Claudia! Thanks for catching the moment. Things come and go but memories are forever!

Looking over Claudia's shoulder as Hot Carl makes his bottom turn on this board eating beast.

John on a nice glassy one, this place is magnetic.. If you feel yourself getting pulled here to join the amazing people that call this place home you should make the jump and come down because it truly is something magical.

Robin charging waves over his head while the outline of neighboring Costa Rica lingers in the background.

Ryan is like 6' something idk but this wave is certainly over his head, I'm excited to get some guests down here but it really has been a special time having these waves for the last few months to just us handful of locals.

There are so many things to do here you don't need to surf to enjoy it's natural beauty. Hiking, golfing, jogging on the beach, partying in SJDS, visiting the multiple volcanoes, stargazing at night and so many more things. You'll have to visit to understand.

Bianca making good use of her last month here before moving with the family back to France for the surf season there. What a life!

Our expert veteran photographer Brian Scott chatting with one of the coolest dudes around Cesar about where the waves are breaking and strategizing for the session. Make sure to check out Brian's site for more pics and when you come here make sure to give Cesar's place a visit for any groceries, alcohol, liquor, and souvenirs at Stop N' Go market.

The future local crew down playing in the river between school, surf, and skating. Is there a better place to raise your family? Nah I don't think there is any place better to grow up then here at Iguana.

When the waves aren't super big they still have the power to give nice push and allows for all kinds of maneuvers.

Is that 5 year old Jett down there with his mom and family friend Alvaro looking out at the surf thinking, "I can do that." and trust me when I say he charges it daily.

Big Poppa Emi out grabbing barrels today, I didn't get the shot cause my battery was dead but Emi had a barrel earlier in the day that had everybody in the lineup cheering as he exited after the spit. Yeewww!

Bright and sunny in the daytime and some sick lightning storms at night, this shot was from last night looking north. Can lightning strike somewhere that it's not raining? Idk but i was standing in a puddle next to a metal structure to get this shot and started thinking to myself "Not sure if I should be doing this..." haha but the shots were coming out real good and kinda got my adrenaline pumping so I kept shooting. I'm gonna go google that question now, take it easy everybody and come back tomorrow for some more sick surf shots. The forecast is looking real good for tomorrow so should be some great content from the master B Scott. Peace Love Unity Respect
