Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Welcome to the Wednesday surf report. This is Roberto “Lucha Libre” and Mateo “Pledge” bringing you the action from today. Unfortunately the Reef was not breaking, but we still ad fun at a super good beach break.  The waves there were running overhead with offshore wind. Check it out!

What we have here is a killer shot of Armando “Codo” Lopez pulling into a gaping right. He brought his gun for the big waves and wasn’t too stoked the waves were not up to par, but as you can see here the gun worked for him just fine in the surf we had.

There was a ton a barrels to be had out there. This is Hot Carl setting up high preparing himself for this long section.

Pancho Sanchez was spotted out there getting some fun waves. Here he is putting on a workshop for all the kids out there who want to know how to throw fans.

Some people wanted to surf today, while others wanted to exercise and work on their upper thigh tan to increase their sexiness. Both are cool with NSR!

We would like to welcome our friend Brad, who is from Jacksonville Florida, to Nicaragua. He was out there surfing really well. Here he is on a fun left with a nice snap.

Mr. Brown was out there again getting some really fun waves. He was taking a sample ride on the revolution train and testing out his first quad. As you can see the quad was working good Mr. Brown.

John Lier was out there today just charging. He decided to take out the long board today and it was allowing him to get a bunch of good waves like this one.

We were hoping to meat Andy Irons while he was down here, but we never got the chance. Today we met his brother which was the next best thing. This is Bobby Irons showing that the Irons blood does produce good surfing.

We had a young local surfer out there, Carlos “La Garrapata” representing the local crowd. Here he is bottom turning on a double overhead wave for him.

This is our new friend from Southern California “Senor Bigote” who was getting a bunch of good waves. Here he is doing a nice backside slash on a fun left.

Pancho Sanchez gets featured twice today because of all the good waves he was getting. Here is on one of his many backside barrels.

“Pledge” went out there initially with the water housing, but it was funky today for under water shots. So the boss let him go out there and surf all day. Here he is taking advantage if his time off doing a black and white slash.

The wipe out of the day goes to “EL Bigote” who was caught mid air with his best impression of a flying angel. The waves were pretty sick today, but the photos make it look even better. The waves were slightly inconsistent with a warbley wind.

The last shot of the day we have “La Pareja de Pajaritos” about to go out and enjoy the surf.  The swell is supposed to stick around for tomorrow and the waves should be fun so check back again!
