Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, June 09, 2008

Hi everyone this is Roberto “Lucha Libre”, Jairo “Come Pan” Panic, and Mateo “Pledge” with the Monday surf report. Today we are definitely having some swell show in the water. It is head high to overhead. We had good wind all day long and the water felt great. Check out what we got!

Here is another line up shot. It really was a beautiful day here in Nicaragua. The sun was shining, the wind was good, and a solid swell. THIS is why we live here.

The first surfing shot of the day goes to Rex “La Bestia” Calderon. Rex here is testing his fins ability to hold in the most powerful of turns, and yes as you can see they were working just fine.

Tyson “El Boxeador” paddled  out there and decided to take off on one of the biggest waves of the day. “El boxeador” was as calm as could be where others surfers knees would be shakin!

Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro was out there as well. Here he took one all the way to the inside to do get a little “Skate Park” action in. You can’t see it from this view but earlier in the day he took a dive straight into some rocks cutting up his face and shoulder a little bit. Hey buddy, how’s your face feeling?

“Come Pan” went out there today with the water housing to try and get some good shots. He got a bunch of shots out there considering the current was ripping him everywhere. He said it was not easy, but it surely was some good exercise. Here he caught the “Pledge” sneaking into a little shack.

The final shot is a photo of the beach scene. It was just a normal day at the beach with the NSR boys and a few police men.  I guess the police men were there to keep people from speeding at the beach.  The swell is supposed to jump up even more tomorrow. We will be back then with hopefully some killer shots. See you then!
