Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, June 06, 2018

Hola amigos!! This is Parker welcoming you to Wednesday’s surf report for Southern Nicaragua. Though it’s a “down day,” the waves are pretty fun! See for yourself.

John Gilem got after it this morning. Though, he’s always on it early. Glassy, empty crowds, and an almost empty stomach for breakfast.

I saw him get a fun one. Keep scrolling down to see why…

See that longboard?! Yeah Johnny G knows how to surf a critical beach break on a log.

In case you didn’t think he was going to make, here is the proof. Nice little nug John!!

His wife Joan calls him the complete package. Soooo a long board, cruising in style, getting tubed, AND has a rail game to show off? Ok Joan, I’ll agree once he shares a Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuit…

Today’s high tide session was fun! At low, it’s small, punchy, and zippy. But high tide features some fun walls and potential barrels.

Some locals were out shredding and destroying the faces today. Here is Lenin punishing the lip.

One of his fellow Santana amigos came along too. How many “s” words can describe their surfing? Smashing, slashing, schralping, shredding? What else? Style?

Add “p” for power as well.

Jeison wasn’t going to let some boys show up his spot. He needed to get out there and defend the home turf.

Case and point. Especially considering Jeison hasn’t been surfing for very long.

Are you going for the rippable face or tucking into a tubito on this one? I’m not sure there is a wrong answer but you’ll have to make a decision.

Make a decision like Kai and Collin: go surf! Conditions are fun, glassy, and empty. So scarf your lunch down and meet me out there for the other portion of your break! Thank you all for checking out today’s shots. Stay tuned for more fun surf throughout the week and something really fun next times. Nos vemos amigos!!
