Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, June 05, 2009

Hi everyone, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the Friday surf report.  Today we drove up north to score some waves with the new swell.  We had some sizeable waves coming through today but it was very inconsistent.  Anyway we made it out and had a blast in the water with a few local rippers.   It was solid over head on sets, the wind was offshore but it was overcastted making tough for photos.  Check it out.

This is Junior “La Juliana” Martinez picking up one of the better set waves of the day.  This kid knows this spot very well so he was taking plenty of good waves all day long.

Meanwhile his cousin Yuber was destroying some waves apart.  This little kid is only 12 year old and he surfs like he’s way older.  Check him out going off the top of this nice right.

Here we have another local kid from Limon.  He’s been successfully making through some rounds in the last contest.  Here he is working on his backside style on this nice looking left.

Our very own D-lite was able to make the trip with us and was ripping all over the place.  Here he is about to throw the lip off the back.  Nice style buddy!!!

There were a few waves piping today.  Check out this sequence of “La Juliana” getting shacked on this one.  Shot 1, taking off!!!

Shot 2, hand dragging.

Shot 3, getting into the dark room.

Shot 4, getting deep.

Shot 5, disappears.

Shot 6, is he going to make it out of that thing?

Shot 7, where is he?

Shot 8, coming out.

Shot 9, clean and safe.

We checked out a few other spots around and we found some fun waves.  Here we have this killer shot of this unknown rider bottom turning this left hander.

On the last shot of the day we have “El Chulin” Estrella riding a nice sizeable set wave.  The swell is staying around for the next few days so check back with us and see what we have for you guys.

Peace and love!!!
