Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, June 04, 2010

The onshore wind keeps blowing and the rain keeps pouring down here in Nicaragua.  Yes folks, it’s been kind of weird this week but we are still having fun down here, getting some wild surf once in a while.  The swell is definitively out there and today we wanted to ride a couple waves and we did.  It was over head on sets and the water was shaking around like a good blender does.  Check it out!!!

A few chicks were able to paddle out this morning and we have to say that they were charging.  Check out this cute lady riding a solid over head wave.  Hey Chewy, check her out man, she does it better than you, uh!!!

The conditions were not the best ones, but as you can see on this shot there were still a few guys going out.  If you are down here you definitively are going to score some waves, no matter what kind!

Randy “El Bambino” was shredding up all over the place.  Don’t you believe us?  Check out this shot and make your own call.

There is always at least one local surfer out every single day.  Today Felipe “El Pipe” Chompipe was in the lineup doing his thing.  Come on dude, you need more speed if you want to make this one!

On the last action surfing shot of the day we have Chewy just seconds away to bust the biggest air maneuver of his life.  Hey Chewy, is your back still hurting?

Try to guess who is this?

Alright fellas, that’s all for today.  Please make sure to check back with us tomorrow.

And before we sign off, we wanted to throw up a couple of pics from last night's Birthday Party at the NSR Headquarters in SJDS.  Our very own Roberto Carlos "Lucha Libre" Garcia turned 26 yesterday and we threw down a little bash for him.  We had the whole NSR crew including Carlito Caliente, Hace Quesitos, Chewy, Miguel, Baloy, Pancho, Oliver, Busitos, Bujia and a few cameo's from out of town and across the street.  We mixed in a healthy portion of Tona, Flor de Cana and Cabilito Suave and cooked up a ton of Chicken, Rice and Filet.  The whole thing got topped off with a sugar-laden slab of b-day cake and the first game of the NBA Finals.  Yes, our boy Lucha grew a year older in style.  Congratulations my friend.  We look forward to many more years with you!

Shortly after the candles were out, Lucha's daughter surprised daddy with a Nicaraguan Tradition - Icing in the face.  This is from around 8:30 pm...and after many birthday shots from his friends.  Looks like Lucha will be sleeping in tomorrow!
