Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, May 30, 2018

Good morning everybody!! Welcome to the Wednesday surf report for Southern Nicaragua. This is Parker clocking in with some shots from this morning.

Before we show today’s photos, we want to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Nicaraguan Moms. Here's the first round (of three) that came to claim their spa certificates. But, the maintainence guys were a little jealous they won't get manicures also… Haha but felicidades a ustedes y gracias por todo lo que hacen!! Bendiciones.

Speaking of being thankful and celebrating, would you look at that wave’s texture?! Como se dice “offshore wind?”

Yeah, we were pretty stoked to wake up and see this too. Some rippable bowls, a couple tubes, and smooth glassy waves. Zero complaints in NICA land!

We want to emphasize the initiative one more time: we support CREA (a local literacy organization) and they are having a raffle. Buy 6 tickets for $100 and the winner earns a week in Rancho Santana (yes a week oceanfront), airfare credit, airport transports (yes, things are going smooth to and from right now), spa credits, and horseback tours. What a great deal for a great cause, huh? You can find more information here.

While we are talking about textbooks, how’s this form? Even the tilted foot and the shaka!!

Textbook form = textbook results, right? Sick cutback by my standards…

The man, the myth, and legend: Tony Roberts. I’ll be checking his surf report (@playacolorado) later today. TR, did you get my two small tubitos???

With a small pulse, the recent onshores mix, and a minor rip, the waves were peaky on the southern section of the beach. Hopefully you picked off a few this morning too.

The north had some lines come through. Take off in the right spot and you might just be in luck…

Hit the gas and go!! Highline it but don’t get stuck too far out in front of it.

Carlos de Colorados got a few this morning, as always. This can be a tricky beach break to navigate so keep an eye on the masters. Just don’t take off as deep as they do.

Some were great, some hit the bars a little weird. Low tide drainer with some fangs: Carlos said “nah I’m good.”

Maybe this one would have been the dreamy right???

How’s Giant’s Foot looking? Pretty green and lush after all those rains? Now is a good time to do a hike: it’s fresh, the breeze is blowing, and there aren’t many clouds in the sky. Alright chicos, I’m going to leave you to it. Have a good rest of the week and we appreciate y’all checking out today’s shots. And happy Mother's Day to all the NICA Mamas out there!
