Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 29, 2016

Hello everybody! Welcome to the Sunday Funday NSR report with Parker. The waves stayed fun and we have a couple other delicious shots to show you so procrastinate your Monday morning and keep scrolling down!

Not much changed in the surf. It's around chest to shoulder high and glassy in the mornings. All eyes are on the forecast for this upcoming week's swell!

Check out the water color! For the past few days, the water has been a gorgeous clear blue. If you like to fish, now is a good time to go!

As for others, I think the party at Mag Rock consumed a few victims. Plenty of untouched beauties rolled through unloved...

Casey was still on it though. Him and his crew from Casa Blanca have been logging their hours and catching tons of empty waves at Horseshoes.

I was a little worried about his landing on this wave. If he broke his ankle again (without any girls watching this time), that would have been a disaster for his surf trip...

Meanwhile, the only other surfer was snagging whatever wave he wanted. Conditions are not great, but the crowd is right!!

People think life is so easy down here (especially as a photographer for NSR). The fringe benefits are amazing until another untouched gem rolls through...

Changing gears, Chef John and Wendy Procacci paid us a visit. They worked hard surfing and relaxing but also led cooking classes to teach our staff. Check out the tasty dishes he taught our cooks!

Normally, I'm a pancake and Frosted Flakes kind of guy for breakfast. But, John taught us a few new tricks. How do these fritattas de tomates look after a morning surf?!

Or this chicken cacciatore?! He also taught our staff some tips on food safety and preparation. However, in the marketing interests of NSR, we'll stick to showing photos of the food.

I thought I'd never sit in a class and takes notes after I graduated but I guess I was wrong. I can make a one time exception for my stomach... Wendy (John's wife) was a huge help by communicating the fine details to our staff.

Remember muchachas, a little extra sauce and extra ricotta cheese in the lasagna!! I can't decide what's tougher: looking at photos with delicious food, uploading photos of empty unridden waves, or missing my Mom's home cooking. The struggle is real...

Ok last one, I promise! The chicken parm was epic (as with all the other dishes). John and Wendy, thank you for teaching our staff some new tips and dishes. My stomach (and guest's stomachs) appreciate your guidance. Ok damas and caballeros, have a good start to the week and we'll see you for tomorrow's report! Buen dia!!
