Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, May 29, 2009

Hi everybody, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia brining you the Friday surf report.  Today we went to the beach right before dark to ride some waves and have fun on the beach.  The waves were running about chest to shoulder high with some sporadic head high waves on sets.  The wind was light offshore and the water was nice and warm.  Check out what we got for you guys today!!!

Part of the NSR family was able to paddle out this afternoon to get wet.  This is “El Guineo” Mateo showing the locals that he can bust some airs as well.  Keep working Mateito!!!

“El Mope” Miranda was taking advantage on some of the better set waves of the day.  Check him out hitting the pocket of this sweet right.  That’s the way to do it Mope!!!

I was climbing for a little while but the mountains were really slippery because it’s been raining a little bit lately.  I was able to catch a few nice looking shots from the hills.  Here we have this unknown rider giving some work to his fins.

Our very own Pancho Sanchez was taking a few waves at Machete pt with a couple friends.  Here he is trying to make it through this fast section, but the waves were not opening up.

“Come Pan” was stoked to make it to the beach today. During the festivities for “Guineo’s” birthday we burned his boogie board. So now, he is stuck with the panga.  Jairo, we think you look way better up on that thing!

Lately we’ve been having cheese sandwiches on the beach. Today we spotted the rare vegetarian wrap. Sometimes when you on vacation you just want to experiment!

This is Pancho Chamorro bottom turning on one of the better set waves of the day.  He was sitting in the right spot so he could catch all the best waves.  Hit the lip of that thing!!!

Here is norcal family member Jamo "Hijo de Jaime" Hodder aka Green Lantern aka Big Kid aka the Walrus who was holding it down on rockyright today. Hijo de Jaime is down with his lady and hot shredder Lil sis Meliss and their future little surf stars Jaren and Jalyce.  It is great to finally have you guys down.  Alright folks, the swell is supposed to pick up a little bit tomorrow and hopefully the wind will stay offshore the whole day. Please check back tomorrow.

As always, click on any of the above photos to go to our NSR Surf Shots online gallery.
