It's a beach day! Small but fun waves today at Maderas. It was chest to head high on sets and the wind was offshore all day long.

The real story of the day was spearfishing! This picture represents over an hour long struggle with a 35+ lb Roosterfish. Danilo hooked it with his handline, but the fish was too big and took all the line out with him. I jumped in the water with my speargun just in time and was able to tie the line onto my gun. After a 30 min struggle and a 500 meter swim, I finally got close enough to shoot it. Needless to say, we had a huge bar-b-q at the surfshop afterwards. This one is for you Lance!
