Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, May 28, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome to Friday and to all you weekend warriors…. it’s that time again! Another week down, but if you’ve been following or seeing anything posted from this past week down here, you know exactly how good it’s been and how lucky we’ve been with all of this amazing swell! Jump on in to see todays afternoon mega high tide session and the first time the waves have actually been in the playful fun zone, as opposed to survival mode size! Enjoy ~

Brian Scott

One things for sure…. there hasn’t been a shortage of barrels down here for a few weeks!

Brian Scott

Emi letting his rail work do all the talking out there today.

Brian Scott

Speaking of rail game. This dude is putting his FCS, or Futures (can’t tell which way he rolls in the fin department), but regardless of name band, his cutback is sick and thus put him on todays surf report with ease!

Brian Scott

Still some nice size out there. And this is the calmed down version of May 3.0 mega swell(s) that seemed to go on for days and days.

Brian Scott

Aaaand I hear there’s more on the way too. Yahooo just in time for June. The month I entered this radical planet!

Brian Scott

Liam is progressing at such an incredible rate, it just goes to show how consistently good this wave (or waves we have down here) will improve your surfing. Well that and he surfs pretty much every day when he’s not here and in the big city where he also lives part of the time. Good job buddy!!!

Brian Scott

Even the chicas are improving by leaps and bounds. Well, it helps to have a hunk of a chunk BF as your personal professional surf instructor. But I have photos of her very first surf session with John (which is how they actually met - I think?) Probably your BEST surf lesson you’ve ever given right Big J????   ;)

Brian Scott

Now that the first round of the May shack attack groups have left, the newbies are here to take over where the other frothing surfed out other groms left off.

Brian Scott

And not a bad job, I must say for this little mini shredder. Ya little amigo…. getting er’ done out there! Bienvenido a Nicaragua~

Brian Scott

This place is, well used to be known or I guess it would be unknown little secret surf magnet surf destination that not very many people were too in the know about, but the word has been out for quite a few years now.

Brian Scott

However, due to the global stuffs that have taken place over the last 2 to 3 surf seasons, it looked pretty much just like this for anyone who lived or was stuck here. But not a bad place at all to be “Stuck” right??? stuck right in this perfectly shaped wave!

Brian Scott

Crowds or no crowds, this place has its own ebb and flow of surf travelers and nomadic aquatic wave hunters the wold over. The only difference of this place is that it’s uniqueness when compared to any other surf spot is literally a place that truly cannot be explained or described unless you come here and try it out for yourself, first hand. Or like this unknown guy is doing on his backhand.

Brian Scott

Well, I’ll just leave you all on this fine Friday with this classic “Mystery Barrel Surfer” shot, something of which we’ve had the most I’ve seen in a long time. And that is a beautiful thing!

Brian Scott

Time to go home, rehydrate, eat some cena (dinner) and get ready for the Saturday grind, which is hopefully early for the dawn patrol. Hope you all have a GREAT rest of your Friday evening and We’ll see ya back again mañana. Cheers ~
