Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Brian Scott

Howdy amigos, welcome to your Tuesday surf report. It was another day of unfavorable onshore winds, but on the flip side, while I was out there shooting I saw some possible front runners of that new swell starting to come in. As an added bonus, the water was super clear!!! YEY!!!

Brian Scott

Josh was out there surfing for maybe an hour before I decided to pull out the camera and clock in for reporting duty. I’m glad I did when I did too, check out this sick little glassy nugget of a wave.

Brian Scott

He’s been working on this airs with the onshores… looks like he’s getting better too!!

“The Ultimate Setup”

Brian Scott

Always stoked to see at least one of the two grom brothers heading out for a little shred the gnar action. Hey where’s Yugi?

Brian Scott

Here’s a good size-O-meter and reference to todays surf… before I started to see some of those front runner sets.

Brian Scott

Almost aquarium clear out there today. Koji, winding up!

Brian Scott

This little guppy is already packing some punch with his turns, like he’s displaying here.

Brian Scott

Emilio a surfer visiting from Managua was one of the only 3 out there today. Lucky for him the normal peak season crowds of 50-60 + people are elsewhere.

Brian Scott

Josh digging in with as much speed as he can utilize for that upcoming section.

Brian Scott

BAAAAAMM!! Nice one dude!

Brian Scott

Mr. Chris, aka your host with the most, always practicing “safe socializing”

Brian Scott

Whewwwww what a sick little wrap Koji-man! Perfect form and body positioning.

Brian Scott

It also helps that he can walk literally about 100 yards from his front door step to the waters edge. Every. Single. Day.

As if this onshore madness hasn’t lasted long enough, only less than a week, however I wanted to share what friend of mine posted today on social media:

All that being said… that would explain all this heavy humidity and god awful mugginess. All I know is Koji doesn’t really care at this moment on this wave.

Brian Scott

He just wants to get barreled!!!!

Brian Scott

The cyclonic weather could or is rather going to bring some big waves to our beaches. Lets just raise our hands and prey there’s some surf-able waves somewhere in there!

Brian Scott

Remember I said I saw some front runners starting to come in….

Brian Scott

Koji on one of the early birds.

It was also a great day to get out there and have a daddy daughter X 2 date/hike. Mr. Colin with his hands full. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day amigos. Be sure to check in for Baldo and Chris’s reports tomorrow and Thursday!! See ya in the next fews days ~
