Today we had some small pretty mixed up onshore surf with less than ideal conditions, but the water is super warm and there were still some waves to be had out there.

Making due with what you have for surf has always been a staple part of being a surfer. It also shows how well you can surf no matter if it’s perfect condition A-frames (which is usually the norm here), or 2 foot slop.

Todays surf report was really shot in Florida? Lol naaa j/k… it’s Nicaragua!

Mauricio blowing one off the top out the back. Hows that spray with that backdrop? Picturesque no doubt!

Same goes for this guys stylish little floater lip smack. There’s a reason this place is called the emerald coast.

John Gillem, full time resident and full time LB shredder out in the lineup (especially when there is some size, he’s sitting the furthest out ready to snag one of them cloud break bombs that rolls through); not to mention one heck of a cool guy!

There is a benefit to these reverse winds though, of course.

The locals have the air game on lockdown. Unfortunately, I had to insert a pelican because Lesther wasn’t out yet.

There were even some tubos to be had out there today. Mauricio locking in for a good tube ride!

Another amigo following suit after seeing his hermano getting a nice barrel. The water had a nice color today despite the onshore conditions.

It’s Friday, you surfed for a couple hours, what to do next?…

Well, that’s one way to get the weekend started!

And who-else to help pour you a cold one than Carlitos! ¿Que´Nota???

Ahhh Lesther made it out just in time for a slide on the report today. Sick carve buddy… you’ve been Killing it out there lately!!

Well, I think it’s time to head over to the poolside bar with a view and enjoy a refreshing Nica Libre and watch the surf from right here! What do you think?

You can always find some hand crafted artisan pieces of art from these lovely local ladies cruising the beach. They’re always smiling and are more then ecstatic if you buy a little piece of Nicaragua to bring home with you from your trip here. Enjoy the rest of your Friday wherever you’re reading this from and have a safe and excellent weekend, and make sure to check back here again tomorrow for more surf, fun and good times in Nicaragua! Chao ~
