Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 20, 2012

Hi everyone, this is the NSR family bringing you all the action for this Sunday surf report.  We went to the beach this morning and found a few waves here and there.  It was running about shoulder to head high on the bigger sets with light and variable winds early but eventually the onshore winds came on. Still better than most days in the states, and the crowds were down, which was good enough for a few locals and guests to get wet. Check out the lineup!!!

On the first surfing shot of the day we have this unknown surfer he was catching a lot of waves this morning.  Check him out riding  on this nice sized wave.  One of the many that he caught today.

The lineup was not very crowded today, we only had about 7 or 9 guys in the water trying to get some fun waves.  Check out this one picking up on this beautiful right hander, one of the bigger waves of the day.

A couple local guys were ripping all over the place.  Check out Carlos Montoya pulling tight cutback on a little nugget.

It was a nice day to shred up all over.  Unknown rider about to throw the lip off the back on this one.

Yes friends, the winds turned out onshore today but it was super light for the first couple hours of the morning, giving us a chance to score some fun ones.  Unknown girl droppin' into a nice right  hander.

This is photog extraordinaire Z Tone-Star doing what he loves, on the other side of the lens. Nice to know the photographer can surf just as good as he takes photos. Definitely some fun waves to be had.

This guy was having a blast on his short board.  The waves were not that big but we had a wonderful day out there.

If you think you can rip, check out this local kid busting the fins out on this sweet air. Just have to find the right wave with the right section and put the gas on! Onshore or offshore, doesn't matter we're always out here having a blast.  Hope you find your waves. Hasta manana amigos!
