Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, May 20, 2008

Hi folks, it’s Lucha Libre with the surf report for today with the Virginia Crew.  Today we still have a couple of fun waves out there to ride and rip.  It’s running about chest to head high on sets, the water is warm, we have a lot of jelly fish in the water. The wind is offshore in the morning, but then turns onshore in the afternoon around 2:00 pm.  Check out Jeff “Sitos” hand dragging on this sweet wave.

There were a couple of good lefts coming through today and the Allen “Beez” was in the right spot to catch a few.  Here he is riding one of the longest wave of the day.

Chuck “El Presidente” went out there to give it a try and was working it on every single wave.  Here he goes styling on a nice size wave.  That wave actually looks small with a 6.6’ man riding it, doesn't it?  Good work my friend!!!

John “Juan Lago” Lake was able to paddle out today with all his friends and they had a lot of fun, even on the small waves.  Here he is going on nice looking left.

The man of the surfing revolution decided to go out today and take some waves on the wave ski.  He told me to say that he was a rooster but now he’s a hen.  I don’t know why.  Anyway, here is Randy “The Big Duke” going big.

Rick “El Juez” was taking a couple of the biggest set waves of the day this morning.  Check him out on a nice left.  His wife might be so proud of him.

Here goes one of my best friends trying to make it through this fast section.  He was trying to make me go out and surf with him when the surf gets big.  Bob “El Cebollas” riding a nice one!!!

When the wind is onshore it brings a lot of fish closer to shore, so it’s time to go out and cacth some Dorado.  Here is a shot of the action, right in front of the lineup.

Ed “Eduardo” Power was destroying all the waves he caught today because he was taking them all the way in to the beach.  Here he goes riding a nice looking right.  Check out "Juan Lago" trying to be part of the action on Ed's wave.

Right before dark the sky get insane and I took advantage of that take a couple of great photos.  Don’t you believe me?  Here is the proof.

Nothing is better than a sweet sun set to finish the day.  We are supposed to have a storm tonight, that’s why we had onshore wind this afternoon.  So we are probably going to have the first rain of the season tonight.  Please check back tomorrow.
