Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Hey everyone!  Eric and Lucha are here with your surf report for this Wednesday.  First, we want to send a big thanks to the Surfari Charters crew, who let Lucha post up on their boat to get most of the photos you are about to see.  The sky was overcast and made it a little hard for photos, but he is the man and got the job done regardless.  The waves were Large and in charge.  Coming in at well overhead with some monster sets coming through!  The wind stayed calm through most of the morning...making for some mondo tubes!!

Right when we pulled up Mason owned the place.  Picking the first barrel of the day.

It was a goofyfooters dream today.  Nothing but solid, left hand tubes storming through.  This is Capt. Lance Moss with a good one.

There were a few guys doing step off and tow in.  The guy on the jetski had the best view for sure!

The ski allowed for the biggest and meanest waves to be ridden out here.  This is John tackling a wave that looks like it would eat him for breakfast.

Did we say eat him for breakfast?  Check out the lip of that thing and think about how big its mouth was!  John a couple shots later on the same wave.

This guy really did get eaten by this thing.  Auhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

If you had the guts to paddle deep inside, you may have found yourself inside of something like this.  Or you may have had a tasty reef sandwich because it was shallllllowwww.

Mason was not only getting some shacks, he was also ripping it up.  Going big with a cool layback!

JJ Yema was putting on his own show out there, as always.  Deep bottom turn, way out in the flats!

After that insane tube fest went down, we went to check another spot on our map.  The waves here were BIG!  Nobody was surfing when we first pulled up, just watching until a small group of guys paddled out to challenge this wave.

Whaaaaat?!?!  Unknown maje dropping in on a monster left hander.  All we have today were lefts but we are not complaining!

Hey buddy, it was nice to meeting you.  Bye, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

There were some sick ones rolling in at outer reef but as always with no takers.  We are not kidding you guys, this is Nicaagua not Hawaii!

We'll leave you with another empty beauty.  Lots of lookers and nobody in the spot..  The swell isn't finished!  Be sure and check back with us for another update right from Nicaragua's pacific coast.  Thank's for tuning in, this is Eric and Lucha signing off!
