Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Welcome to the surf report this is Jairo "Come Pan" and Matthew "Pledge" Craig. Today was a great day down here in Nicaragua, we went back up north and scored some pretty fun waves. It was chest to head high with some bigger sets, offshore wind, and warm water. Check it out!

Our friend Dexter "Akamay" is shown here taking off on one of the set waves. We were hoping the waves would be as good as yesterday, but it just was not working as good. Although there were some really fun waves to be had.

Our friend JJ from up north had a bunch of pros staying at his camp. They came to the beach with their whole camera crew and were just blowing up! This is Otto Flores, from Puerto Rico, getting a little shade on a hollow right.

Here is one of the pros really hacking into the top of this right. It was real interesting watching these guys just tear this wave apart.

Another one of the pros here just shredding this wave apart. For most people it takes a few sessions until they are comfortable with this wave, but these pros were just hitting the lip at the most critical sections.

This is the last pro they brought to the beach. Here he is opening up his bag up tricks with a sweet board slide across the lip.

This is JJ keeping right up there with the pros. Here he is doing a speed floater on one of the set waves.

JJ throwing down a pretty powerful snap. I think he was trying to keep the pros humble out there.

Mateo “Pledge” went out to catch a few as well. Here he is doing some subliminal advertisement for NSR.

This is one of JJ's employees Chris getting a pretty good shot. The house seen in the background is still available for the rent this season. It is seriously right on the sand in front of this wave. If you are interested contact us via e-mail and we 'll hook you up.

This is Bill Hike, from Northern California, dropping in on one of his first waves and probably one of the best sets of the day.

"Come Pan" went a little artsy with the last shot of the day. This picture really shows how much this wave throws. Alright the waves should still be fun tomorrow so check back!
