Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 09, 2010

Hola(that is hello in spanish) This is your trusty intern Chewy (that's spanish for Jeremiah) bringing you the Sunday surf report. Happy mother's day! I want to give a special shout out to my mom! miss you! The surf is running pretty small about 2 feet with strong offshore wind. We surfed this morning but took a break in the afternoon to hang out. Check it!

We are gonna start you off with this guy trying to make it work in the small surf. I don't know if you could have fit in but you could have tried a little harder than that.

There you go! someone made the waves look fun! I was about to give up on the 5 guys out there.

There were a bunch of guys trying to get some waves. They were not always succeeding but it was worth a try.

I've tried to put the word out. This guy obviously didn't hear. This is a patented Chewy move! haha This guy learned the hard way that, Air + offshore wind = Board enema. Ouch dude, ouch.

We checked another spot and the waves were a little better but holy cow! we counted 46 people in the water. That is crazy.

This guy was disturbing the fish for this kid hand lining. He got a good turn off this ankle high wave so it was probably ok.

This guy in the water has the life. He is surfing in Nicaragua while his girl watches him from the rocks. Thanks to the girl for posing! You get a 10 on the Chewy hotness scale!

We spotted a big shark in the water. He is kinda tough to see but he was big! It is pretty rare to see one of these so close to shore. ahhhh

This is one of the many species of wildlife down here. This thing took up half the road.

Are good friend Pancho Sanchez stopped by to surf today. He was in Managua so he flew out on his buddies helicopter. That is living my friend let an intern get a ride!

Pancho took off so he made the intern ride the bike! ugh. Check back the waves might pick up a little. Happy Mothers Day everybody! North Florida out!

Can I give a shout out to Gabe Kling? North Florida killing it at the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro! Dude! so stoked to see you making a comeback! Go Jags! Keep it comin' man I need a little help on my Fantasy Surfer team! haha

On this shot we have a few local guys playing Baseball on the beach.  They are very happy because enjoying of this beautiful and sunny day having a good time.
