Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, May 05, 2018

Hola amigos! This is Parker logging in with the Saturday morning shots. Brian, SBS, is on vacation for the week so it looks like y’all will be stuck with Baldo and me. So, check out the shots from the unofficial official best NSR photogs!!!

It was a chill morning at the beach. I took photos around the breakfast while the tide was higher (some of us had to get to work during the day) and I saw a few mid tide peelers. As the tide dropped, the waves probably opened up but the size was still smaller.

As for the weekend, the swell is going to stay mellow. Be on the lookout for the fast runners to pack a couple turns in.

Case and point. Or take a break from the water and play sunset volleyball with us.

As for the long term forecast, this looks like a very possible reality for us. Fingers crossed…

I bet this muchacho is wondering why the Founders Cup isn’t at Playa Colorado. On it’s day, this beachie is the Nicaraguan wave pool.

For a lazy Saturday morning, Danimal Springfield had the right idea. Now that I think of it, he always has the right idea: retire somewhere with a lifestyle, spend lots of family time, get the gang together for Sunday morning church, play golf, surf, or hit the volleyball court. Some people do have it figured out…

Running is also one of Dan’s highest priorities.

The northern peak was the spot producing the waves. Fast zippy rights to high line and snap a turn in or quick floaters on the lefts. If that doesn’t do it for you, try one of Mago’s famous tropical drinks at Pili’s Kitchen.

John Gilem is weighing his options while he cross stepping down this right.

While the swell is down and the media is overhyping current Nicaraguan events, you’ll find people looking away and the beaches empty. Not a bad time to check us out

Or leave them all for us!!! Alright ladies and gents, it’s time to wrap up our Saturday and start thinking about the afternoon/evening. Be safe celebrating Cinco de Mayo and we appreciate you staying tuned to our reports. Dale pues amigos!!
