Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, May 03, 2017

Buenas tardes a todos!! This is Hotstick Hannahs signing in with some late morning shots. I want to caution you before you read today’s report: it’s still pumping.

The incoming push was fun and it looked good even though high tide! But I knew it would get better later…

So that means I get to surf until it turns on. When the tide was fullest, some bombs detonated and ran to the beach.

That Brazilian surfer didn’t make it but this gem ran all the way to the beach. Ben got a good look at it before he paddled out.

Then, the tide started dropping and the waves opened up. If you want to keep seeing barrels, keep scrolling down. Even if you don’t want to see barrels, keep scrolling down!

Sunday was fun. Monday was really fun. Tuesday was super fun. Today has been extremely fun. I wonder what Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will bring.

Unfortunately, Ben Clarke is out of here during the weekend. So Ben, when are you going to come back and crash on my couch? After his morning session, something tells me it’ll be soon.

Today featured quite a few beautiful barrels. However, the RVCA team is a little more balanced so they had fun above the waves too.

Sean from the surf camp up the way locked into some serious gems. And, he threw down some serious airs.

Ahh almost there!! The wind has been really light lately so it’s been glassy, fun, and conducive to your air game. Nice to meet you today amigo!

Hmmm other conditions… really hot, partly cloudy, and a high chance of barrels.

There was almost a high chance of getting snaked too. Mateo was tucked into this one before a couple amigos shared this wave.

Farther down the line, Scott joined the party and slipped in. Scott, I’m ready for some post season Golden State games upstairs!! Wilfredo, get ready!!

Last comment about etiquette… The guy inside clearly is going to make and you clearly snowballed the critical part of the wave. If you break the rules, you deal with the consequences.

Looking at the forecasts and charts, today was supposed to be a “down day.” So what will the swell look like tomorrow then?!?! We are all anxiously waiting.

I know Lesther is stoked and ready! He’s been getting barreled all day so he changed it up and went skim boarding in the shorebreak. Stay tuned to see what this tube maestro shows off.

Look closer at this wave. There’s a juicy section sectioning but look into the curtain. When the wave breaks there, don’t be there.

David Huffman and friends have been getting after it. They hung on the other side of the rip and found manageable waves trickling through. Later, he moved over into the peak and we traded off a few rights.

Ok damas and caballeros, I’m going to leave you with this mini spitter. It’s time for me to sign off and find my way back out there… yeah it’s been a busy week! We appreciate you guys tuning in and check back en la mañana! Parker is out!
