Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, May 03, 2014

We are happy to bring you today's surf report from our backyard.  The waves were fun, running in the shoulder high range, winds were nice offshore and the water was great.  Check it out!!!

Sweet Water Fund and HighPlace are collaborating on two art shows/fundraisers that will take place Thursday, May 15th and Friday 16th. The funds raised will benefit Las Poderosas (The powerful females) an all girls sports and wellness program started by The Highplace Foundation with the intent of clearing the path for young girls with dreams to become strong women with vision.  The Thursday event will take place at Cafe Revolucion on Playa Maderas. This show will include:  a live painting performance throughout the night, an additional live painting exhibit done by the audience, a silent auction of art, and massage service. This is a call to attend the event or to DONATE YOUR UNWANTED BROKEN BOARD which will be used as canvases for the artwork. Email [email protected] if you have a board to donate.

Small but beautiful waves were running in. Here is Juan on a sick right hander.

The tide was kinda low but the waves kept coming.  Waves galore!

Sick sections to shred all day long.  Cool snap on the backhand!

A couple of locals made it out and they were taking some nice ones as well.  Deep bottom turn!

Junior was working on his backside tube ride skills.  This kid is pretty good, and he doesn't get to surf very often.  It would be nice to see him out there more often.

Mr Snider was able to pull into some sweet little gems.  Now you are ready for the big party fella.

Timoteo was having a blast out there.  Check him out setting up to throw the lip off the back.

Cool little barrels to have fun on.   Check out this little sequence.

Shot 2, setting up!

Shot 3, in the magic spot!

Shot 4, a little deeper!

Shot 5, still going!

And out.  That was sweet muchacho!

The waves were super fun all day long and everybody got plenty.  Check out the scene.

Last action shot of the day goes to this unknown fella, getting locked.  Just enjoying the view!

Off to the  2014 ISA WORLD SUP AND PADDLEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP in Granada.  Oliver is the man!

This will be the route to do for all the competitors.   Gook luck Nicaragua!!!
