Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Brian Scott

Howdy and welcome to the Tuesday surf report. Not a whole lot going on out there today. Some little bit of swell but even less people to get excited enough to paddle out as I checked the waves periodically throughout the day with hit or misses each time. But rest assured, there’s always a 99.9% chance of me finding someone out there surfing!

Brian Scott

Ahhh Haaaa…. See I found a couple of potentials.

Brian Scott

Sure looks like a lake though. Ugh!!

Brian Scott

Haha well it kind of looks like Lake Michigan actually.

Brian Scott

I waited for a bit but it was pretty slow going down at the reef… except for maybe some surf school action going on down at Los Perros.

Brian Scott

Well, I said the heck with that, I think I’ll go try my luck over at the beachie. Luckily I saw John just about to make the paddle out.

Brian Scott

Aaaannd then, I saw Derek already in the water and paddling out with this view. Hmmm Nice!

Brian Scott

So for the next hour or so, I watched as John and Derek traded off waves with each other.

Brian Scott

Two completely different generation of surfers. Both with super unique styles all to their own. And both about as nice as any human comes.  D-Man going for the cheater 5!!

Brian Scott

John’s pretty good at riding different styles of boards. Today was perfect for the softy or Wave-storm.

Brian Scott

While Derek chose his step-up Fowler. These two amigos had the right idea for boards with our tiny surf today.

Brian Scott

This actually looks pretty darn fun!

Brian Scott

Cruising around getting some salty warm water on your body never hurts. Better than sitting inside all day right?

Brian Scott

I saw John paddling for a wave, but he was going fins first…. I knew what he had up his sleeve the moment I saw him pop up.

Brian Scott

Yeah buddy…. going for the pop shove it

Brian Scott

Uh oh… is he going to stick it??

Brian Scott

Looks like he may have just pulled it off.

Brian Scott

Yewww hermano. That was sick!

Brian Scott

Oh, and going for one more BIG move to complete the wave… can he do it???

Brian Scott

Boom cracking it off the top!

Brian Scott

With a prefect reentry.

Brian Scott

And the crowd goes WILD!!!! Sick sequence Johnny!!!

Brian Scott

Alright, that’s about all I had for today. Rumor has it we have our next substantial swell coming on the long range forecast. Could potentially even be our biggest swell of the season. For now, we’ll just keep playing in the little stuff and hopefully get some little hiccup wind swells. Have a good night amigos ~
