Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, April 24, 2010

This just in,  Luis "La Baloy" Chamorro just got back from the ALAS Latin Tour Contest we had in Playa Venao, Panama.  This was a really hard contest but he did really good and he got to know a few pro surfers like Mick Fanning the actual WCT Worl Champion and Rob Machado.  These two guys were so proud of him because he was the only Nica surfer participating in this contest and he put Nicaragua all the way up.  Here we have these two shots of "La Baloy" with two of the best pro surfers ever.  We want to say thanks to all the people that helped Luis to make this posible like Sand, Billabong, Finca Las Nuves and of course Nicaragua Surf Report.

Welcome to the jungle party people!  It’s only April but I think our rainy season has already started.  It rained last night (and the power went out all night) and today we drove to the beach through mud puddles for the first time this year.  It’s all good though because rainy season means good waves, light offshores and cooler temps.  Today we had everything but the waves…it was only running about waist high today and the sets were inconsistent.  It was a perfect last day for our group who rounded out their three day surf lesson with some fun ones.  We get some real characters down here…Check it out.

The crew was so excited to score some fun ones on their last day out.  Unluckily Bobby got hit by one of the boards yesterday and we had to take him to the clinic to get a 4 stitches surgery.  Today he got back out more excited than ever to ride some good ones, so he used a rubber glove on his head.   It was nice to see you out rubber head.

Jason “Navy Seal” did pretty well through the 3 day lessons we had with them.  He picked up the surf quickly and was having a blast out there.  Don’t you believe us?  Check out this shot!

Maury was also doing the best to have fun out there.  You know you always have to fall but it is better because you always get to stand up again and make everything even better the next time.  Nice wipe out Mr. Snickers!

We all had a blast on the beach today because everybody was showing their feelings.  This is Mike from Costa Rica trying to catch a mosquito with his tongue.    You gotta practice a little bit more buddy.  Just kidding, ha,ha, ha!!!

Here we have one last shot of the crew, posing of the camera to keep a nice memory.  It was nice to meeting you guys, hope we can get together later in the future.  Do you guys think that they were happy?  The roof, the roof, the roof is on fireeee!!!!!!

We had a few other guys in the lineup trying to score some good ones as well.  This is T-Bird from Portland riding a nice looking left hander.

We heard somewhere: Laws were made to be broken, that was exactly what happened today.  The police was driving on the beach and that is not allow in Nicaragua.  I guess you can do what ever you want when you are the lawll!

We have more of the same for the next few days so, please make sure to check us back out!
