Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, April 18, 2021

Brian Scott

Ohhhh how them Sunday Funday’s really sneak up on you. In a place to where you would think time would practically stand still…. it aways feels quite the opposite. I think that’s because one: I do 4 surf reports out of the week (and usually other side photography work on my other 3 days off), which make the work week always seem to go by much quicker; but the real deal is seeing friends coming in for a quick little 1 week or 2 week visit and before you blink and eye, they’re packing up and leaving the next day or two.  That’s when my vacations here were indefinitely decided to just be here full time. Time… time that just goes by too fast, especially in a place where you never want it to end!

Beach life…. it’s strong like Kung Fu!

Brian Scott

This guys top turn, very similar. He’s just not wearing a mixed martial arts gi. jaja

Brian Scott

This guy’s stylish float is way more appealing to look at than me or anyone else just trying to stay “a float” during some of the hardest times most of us have ever seen in our lifetimes.

The pre-paddle out mind exploration is different for every surfer. Always!

Brian Scott

However, watching another chica doing well out there in some pretty rough and mixed up conditions certainly helps persuade the speed at which you get out there, for sure!

Brian Scott

Got myself a little triple double. One guy paddling while two others are actually surfing two different waves at the same time.

Brian Scott

That’s Maria, the one a few frames back where I was talking about the thought process which we all go through before making the paddle out. Looks like she got pretty inspired!

Brian Scott

Watching surfers rip is the best! Seeing female surfers rip just makes surfing all that more enjoyable for everyone, I think!

Brian Scott

Not sure who this dude is, but he was killing it out there on evert single wave. Good job unknown dudie!!!

Brian Scott

Still some nice size out there in the water today…. but

When I saw this dark thing moving my way quickly out of the east, I knew I was going to have to cut my little surf photography sesh short.

Brian Scott

But not without one last super sick speed blur lip smash like this one here!!!

Well, it’s a new week and it was a way fun weekend, so there’s nothing to complain or even be ungrateful for….. since ya know, sometimes there are things in life that can often try and bring us down. Here’s to a positive and hopefully super fun new week of waves and good times and memories for anyone coming here, already here or just taking time to enjoy our daily surf report. Buenas noches amigos ~
