Hello everyone, welcome to another Monday Surf Report from Santana beach. Semana Santa has ended and everything is getting back to normal here in Nicaragua. A new swell came yesterday and the waves are pumping, and is going to stay this way for at least two weeks!

There was only one surfer in the water when I arrived to the beach, and after a few waves I found out it was a well known character here at NSR, it was the famous D-Lite appearing one more time for the enjoyment of everyone. nice to see you buddy!

A few minutes later a family showed up, it was the dad and his two sons getting ready for first peak. Hopefully one day this will be me surfing with my kids, it will be the perfect excuse for me to go surfing!

And here comes one of the boys, following dad´s steps very closely. Look at that size! Probably is going to be really good in the afternoon!

And here is the other kid on a small one. There was a long period of waiting between sets, there were moments that looked almost flat for a few minutes.

But those small ones between sets had a good shape, they offered a long open wall to hit the lip and went almost all the way to the beach.

There was not much going on on the beach. Like a normal Monday, it was quite, with nobody around… only these guys packing up the bar and taking down the whole thing after two weeks of selling beers and animating the beach with (mostly) reggaeton music. I´m glad to see them leaving!

As always, there is someone at the beach reminding us that after a good Holy week of partying and drinking, the best way to get rid of the hang over is to go for a run and start getting back in shape.

Mike was trying to follow the example but he was having some trouble with the waves. He probably enjoyed the Semana Santa too much. But at least he is out there washing it off!

There is no better remedy for the hang over than a few wipe outs in a little cold water to get your senses back in line. Here is Mike almost as new.

And the only barrel of the morning goes to one of the kids… he used both arms to slow down and got covered. Well done!

And to finish with today´s report, I want to ask for a big round of applause for these guys! They´ve being here for a few hours already cleaning all the trash that Semana Santa left on the beach. thanks you guys!! Check out the next few days, the waves are going to be great!
