Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, April 17, 2009

Hi everybody, this is “Lucha Libre” Garcia one more time bringing you the Friday surf report. The waves were super fun this morning running about chest to shoulder high on sets with offshore winds but the water got a little bit chillier. Check it out!!!

The lineup was not crowded at all-there were only about five locals out and a few other international surfers sharing the waves.  This is Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro expanding his wings to land this huge busting air.

Rodolfo “Calibilly” Zapata was taking plenty of good waves all over the place.  Check him out setting up with a cool bottom turn, waiting for the right moment to attack the lip of this left hander.

A few guys decided to take the big pangas out this morning.  This is Jessica “La Capitana” from Texas hand dragging on this sweet set wave.  She was killing it on that thing!!!

We want to give a special shout out to Tomas, who decided to spend some vacations down here with his brother in law Carlitos Caliente.  Here he is drifting a nice left all the way in to the beach.  Good job buddy!!!

There were a few guys out from Costa Rica having a good time in the water.  Here is one of them picking up one of the better set waves that came through.

“El Tuzo” Morales is improving really fast his surfing skills.  That’s because he’s been out almost everyday lately.  Here I caught a nice shot of him going big with this floater.

On the last shot of the day we have “La Bestia” Calderon smacking the pocket of this right.  The waves should be fun tomorrow and we are expecting to have a new swell next week so be sure to stay tuned with us.

Lucha out!!!
