Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, April 15, 2017

Brian Scott

Hola and welcome back for todays surf report. We had some small mixed up surf this afternoon with a high tide coming in and a little bit of some backwash on it. Still not much out there swell wise, but there’s some new swell in the forecast soon!

Brian Scott

Semana Santa is still going in full effect. Lots of familia’s down here enjoying the beautiful weather, having some drinks pool side and relaxing.

Brian Scott

Our trademark offshore winds sometimes make it a little tricky to get into the waves, but it always makes for great photos!

Brian Scott

Making the most of this little wave here with a sick little turn. Nice spray amigo!

Brian Scott

This guy found a nice little racey barrel section right on the inside. Check out his smile… he’s stoked!

Brian Scott

Friendly couple out watching the surfing action. I think this guy is contemplating on whether or not to go out. Jump in buddy, I’ll get some shots of you!

Brian Scott

Laying into a good bottom turn not only feels good when properly done, but will also set you up for the next big maneuver…

Brian Scott

Like this!

Brian Scott

Mateo getting ready to jump in. I think he see’s something he likes out there..??

Brian Scott

Of course, it’s Gavin pulling into a warbly looking one.

Brian Scott

That backwash was making the wave faces do all kinds of weird things. Hang on Gav, you’re about to go through the spin and rinse cycle.

Brian Scott

With so many people here and lots of cars the parking lot at the beach club was maxed out. This guy had the right idea and cruised over by boat.

Brian Scott

Speaking of a good idea, Señor Eberly styling out in the small waves with his long board. Perfect match for the small surf we have have right now.

Brian Scott

I miss seeing dolphins in the lineup (something you would see a lot of back in CA) haha the little girl popping out the back of the wave reminded me of what the dolphins would do on the waves when playing around. Pretty funny!

Brian Scott

It’s also a great time to take advantage of the small surf and get out there and learn to surf. Like this little ripper. Perfect size for this micro grom!

Brian Scott

and big groms too!

Once the sun starts to set, the magic our and lighting comes alive. One of my favorite times to be down at the beach!

Brian Scott

This guy would probably agree.

Brian Scott

I guess if you’re gonna kick out, might as well do it with some humor!

Brian Scott

Well that’s the close of our day and Saturday afternoon report. Hope you all enjoyed and be sure to check back again tomorrow as I will brining you more surf action and lifestyle family fun from Nica. Te veo en la mañana ~
