Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Hi everyone, we are the NSR family bringing you all the action for this Wednesday surf report.  Today we went to the beach in the afternoon trying to score some waves.  The swell dropped down a lot and it was running about waist to shoulder high on sets with nice offshore winds.  Check out the lineup!!!

Today we are going to start our daily surf report with this girl.  She was the only girl that we caught in the lineup catching some waves.  Check out her dropping in on this small but super fun right hander.

Here we have Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro, he was catching some good waves out.  Look at him going big with this small but cool frontside air.

As we said before the waves were small but perfect for beginners, making the conditions really good for learning.  Here we have this unknown ridding on this little nugget.

The lineup was not very busy at all, we only had about 7 or 9 surfers including a couple locals.  On this shot we have Norwin “El Chulin” Estrella riding this sweet peeler.

Today we had a few locals taking advantage in the water.  This is Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila flying on this one.  He’s practicing very hard every day now because this year he wants to beat “La Bestia” who recently had a sweet third place in a contest in Costa Rica.

We had some nice peaks to be shared today.  Here we have Corage and David having fun on this one.  They always want to be together, even when they surf.

On the last shot of the day we have Jerson going off the top of this closed out session.  Alright folks this is all for today.  We hope to have some fun waves tomorrow.  Please check back with us!

Meanwhile, our good friend Mike up at Nicawaves was snapping some shots of the reef.  I can't say it was working but it was just big enough to show it's teeth on the set waves.  Check out this hollow one.

And who said Elvis isn't alive!  Here he is right here!  No, not the singer Elvis, this is our very own Nicaraguan Elvis.  I'm sure his folks were big fans of "The King" and that's why they named their son after him.  Anyway, the Nicaraguan Elvis is a pretty good surfer and here's the photo to prove it!  Special thanks to Mike at Nicawaves for sending in these shots.  It's good to see what you guys are up to!
